More Medora

The town of Medora was founded by the Marquis de Mores, a 24 year old French nobleman in 1883.  He named the town for his bride, Medora von Hoffman.  He came with vision and built a meat packing plant, hotel, stores, and a large home overlooking the town - the Chateau de Mores.  His various enterprises failed and he and Medora returned to live in France.

The Chateau de Mores - open for visitors

Around town - reminded me of a North Carolina town- cute, fudge, t-shirts, ice cream shops, and picturesque landscapes

Can I get this rock in the car?
